Beth Burns creates imaginative interiors and installations. Her designs are expressive and conceptual, at turns subtle, dramatic and luminous.

Based in Los Angeles, Beth has designed residential and creative work spaces, furniture, lighting fixtures, and sculptural pieces.  She designs with a select team of expert artisans and fabricators.

Previously, Beth's assisted Architect David Alvarez for Nike and at Studio Collective and Darrell Schmitt & Associates on hospitality and residential projects.

In 2011 Beth received a Masters in Interior Architecture from UCLA Extension/Cal Poly Pomona.  She has studied fine arts in Paris, Toronto and New York, choreography at Jacobs Pillow, and leadership at the Aspen Institute.

In her first career, Beth founded The Wooden Floor, a thriving arts non-profit in Santa Ana, CA, to uplift youth through dance, academic & family services.  She served as Artistic Director for 22 years.   Beth directed and choreographed many performances, collaborating with gifted lighting, costume and scenic designers to make memorably moving dance-theatre works.

For Beth, designing is another form of choreography.

She designed Mark’s entire home and it’s gorgeous. She even took a 30 foot high cement block wall and pixillated it. She is fast and versatile in style. We cannot recommend her enough, and our standards are ridiculously high. If we were to use someone for any projects going forward, it will be Beth.

Beth’s work incorporates the lyrical, the dramatic, and the whimsical. Her integration of elements in a room is as much a matter of choreography as art direction.
