Beth in her Santa Monica, CA. studio

I am interested in complexity, simplicity and mystery.

My paintings are abstract. They tend toward complexity, spontaneity and simplicity. Whether gestural or subtle, there’s a consistent interest in color, texture & spatial relationships.

The work relates to a life long fascination with metaphysics.

“For the simplicity on this side of complexity, I wouldn't give a fig. But for the simplicity on the other side of complexity, for that I would give you anything I have. ― Oliver Wendell Holmes
